H.4227 - An Act making appropriations for the fiscal year 2025 to provide for

supplementing certain existing appropriations and for certain other activities and

projects

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, I voted YES on H.4227 which originated as H.4005

regarding Fair Share (education and transportation) FY 25 supplemental appropriates.

H.4005, which I voted YES on, passed on April 9th by a vote of 140 YAYS to 14 NAYS,

4 NV. After it was passed in the House, the Senate passed its version of the Fair Share

supplemental.

Because there were differences between the two bills, it went to a conference

committee. The results of that conference committee is H.4227 (conference report),

which the House voted to accept yesterday on a vote of 150 YAYS, 3 NAYS, 6 NV.

A final vote was taken by the House (after the Senate voted to accept the conference

report) to enact this bill – which passed on a large bipartisan vote of 148 YAYS, 4 NAYS, 7 NV. The Senate similarly enacted it thereafter – it now goes to the Governor for her signature.

*Of note to our district – Senate Ways and Means Chair Rodrigues and I were able

to secure $30,000 in this bill for improvements to the gymnasium at Old Rochester Regional High School.
