In an effort to ensure the residents of the 10th Bristol District are up to date on MassDOT's Route 18/I-195 project, from time to time we will be posting information and advisories from MassDOT on our website and sharing them in our social channels.

As our state representative, it is important to me that you have access to the information necessary during project construction.

New Bedford I-195/Route 18 Interchange Rehabilitation Project Public Information Meeting (flyer below in English, Spanish, and Portuguese)

What is happening?

The purpose of this meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to become fully acquainted with the proposed project’s beginning phases and expected closures of ramps C (I-195 West to Route 18 South) and D (Route 18 North to I-195 West) for the next 2 years in early/mid-September.  All views and comments submitted in response to the meeting will be reviewed and considered to the maximum extent possible.

How will this affect you?

MassDOT is replacing the I-195/Route 18 interchange in New Bedford. The project will address the poor conditions along the interchange, improve safety, and construct a noise barrier to buffer the surrounding community. Construction is underway and will impact local and regional traffic as well as abutters below the viaduct.

When:

Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM
